Rector's office

    The Rector's Office is the administrative unit of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) responsible for supporting the Rector in carrying out his duties.  

    The Rector's Office is a team of dedicated professionals who are committed to supporting the UWED community. The Office plays a vital role in the success of the University, and it is essential to the achievement of UWED's mission.

    The Rector's Office has four main departments: 

    • Marketing and PR department, 

    • International Relations department, 

    • Publishing department,

    • and Secretariat.

    The Marketing Department is responsible for promoting the UWED brand and attracting new students. The Department does this through a variety of channels, including advertising, public relations, and social media.

    The Secretariat is responsible for providing administrative support to the Rector and the Vice-Rectors. The Department handles a wide range of tasks, including scheduling appointments, preparing reports, and managing correspondence.

    The International Relations Department is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with UWED's international partners. The Department works with embassies, universities, and other organizations to promote cooperation and exchange between UWED and the world.

    The Publishing Department is responsible for producing and disseminating UWED's publications. The Department publishes a variety of materials, including academic journals, books, and newsletters.

    The Rector's Office is a vital part of the UWED community. The Office provides essential support to the Rector and the Vice-Rectors, and it plays a key role in promoting the UWED brand and developing relationships with UWED's international partners.

    The primary task of the Rector’s Office is to provide policy, strategic and legal counsel and advice to the senior management team, with a special focus on the rector, the pro-rector and the university director.

    Another core task of the Rector's Office is to take an overall, cross-organisational view of the university as a whole and to facilitate and communicate decision-making processes internally at the university, as well as ensuring that these processes are planned effectively with as much time as possible for the inclusion of relevant bodies and staff/students. 

    1. General administrative and technical supervision of the Office and all units associated with it.

    2. Following-up of all transactions received by the Office, organizing and sending them to the Rector.

    3. Dealing directly with the transactions that not need to be seen by the Rector and forwarding them to the concerned departments.

    4. Sorting and reviewing the transactions after being discharged from the Rector's office forwarding them to the related departments.

    5. Distributing work among the staff of the units associated with the Office according to their competence.

    6. Following up the work of the units associated with the Office and ensuring the quality of the work.

    7. Developing the abilities and skills of the staff of the associated units through training courses to increase their performance and efficiency.

    8. Approving the performance evaluation of staff and associated units.

    9. Carrying out any other task assigned by the Rector.
