UWED Faculty Organizes Meeting to Strengthen “Family – Mahalla – Educational Institution” Cooperation
On May 15 of this year, faculty from the English Language Department of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, together with representatives of the “Olmachi” mahalla citizens' assembly, organized a meeting dedicated to further strengthening the “Family – Mahalla – Educational Institution” partnership.
The event was attended by department professors and instructors R. A. Arslanbekova, D. I. Allaberganova, Z. N. Akmalova, M. Kh. Batirova, N. B. Tashpulatova, F. Sh. Zaripova, and Kh. A. Amadjonov, as well as representatives of the “Olmachi” citizens' assembly.
During the meeting, the importance of effective interaction between families, the mahalla, and educational institutions in the learning process was particularly emphasized. It was noted that this cooperation is a key factor in the spiritual, social, and intellectual development of the younger generation, as well as in the formation of a healthy and active civil society.
The dialogue included an analysis of the work carried out this year in cooperation with the “Olmachi” mahalla citizens' assembly. Specifically, the discussion covered providing children from low-income families with English language textbooks, supporting families in need of social assistance within the mahalla, providing them with necessary school supplies, and maintaining a systematic dialogue with youth.
There was also an exchange of views on existing challenges and their solutions in areas such as supporting unemployed women in the mahalla, increasing minors' interest in education, and engaging children from low-income families in foreign language studies.
To further strengthen cooperation, proposals were made to organize English classes for unemployed women aged 20 to 30, involve minors from low-income families in learning English, provide them with necessary learning materials, and regularly inform parents about reforms in the education system.
Furthermore, the need to continue strengthening cooperation between mahalla activists, elders, faculty, citizens' assemblies, and district crime prevention inspectors was noted.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to consistently continue cooperation within the “Family – Mahalla – Educational Institution” framework, to implement the proposed measures in stages, and to conduct ongoing monitoring.
