A meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland was held at UWED

On June 11 of this year, a significant meeting was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED), during which the university was visited by a delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland and OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Elina Valtonen. The visit was an important step in strengthening bilateral relations between Finland and Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, key aspects of cooperation between the two countries were discussed, including the prospects for academic exchange between UWED and leading universities in Finland. Minister Valtonen stressed the importance of educational programs and joint research for the development of diplomatic ties and cultural exchange.
Particular attention was paid to the meeting with UWED students, where Elina Valtonen shared her views on Finland's diplomatic relations with other states, and also discussed the country's security issues. Students had the opportunity to ask questions in Finnish, which the Minister was happy to answer, which contributed to an active dialogue and exchange of views.
At the end of the meeting, Elina Valtonen expressed her gratitude to the university administration for the warm welcome and the opportunity to meet future diplomats. This visit was not only an important step in strengthening international ties, but also inspired students to further study diplomacy and international relations.
