Educational and Methodological Council

Educational and Methodological Council

The Educational and Methodological Council of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy is an institutional advisory and coordinating body responsible for reviewing educational and methodological matters, supporting the quality of the academic process, and ensuring a collegial approach to key academic decisions.

The Council operates under the leadership of the First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs. It reviews matters related to curriculum structure, course documentation, assessment arrangements, student progression, elective courses, re-study procedures, syllabi, and programme-specific academic requirements.

The work of the Council supports consistency, transparency, and quality assurance in the organisation of the educational process. Its decisions contribute to the continuous improvement of academic programmes, alignment of course content, regulation of assessment procedures, and the development of educational and methodological documentation in accordance with institutional standards.

Course syllabi are first subject to internal and external expert review and are discussed at department level with the participation of specialists and students. After that, they are submitted to the Educational and Methodological Council for consideration. Positively reviewed syllabi are approved by the First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and introduced into the academic process.

    • The University may provide social support measures, including tuition fee discounts, to students from low-income families and students with disabilities.
    • All cases are reviewed based on applications and supporting documents.
    • Decisions are discussed collegially during weekly working meetings attended by the First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, relevant office heads, deans, and heads of departments.
