On May 11th this year, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted Korean Speech Contest.The event was organized by the Department of Oriental Languages.
Students of the 2nd and 3rd courses of the university, studying Korean language took part in the competition. The jury included: Deputy Director of the KOICA Office in the Republic of Uzbekistan Mr. SO WANSU, Director of the Education Center at the Embassy of Korea in the Republic of Uzbekistan Mr. PANG CHU MAN, JUNG JAEWONG Deputy Director of the Education Center and KOICA volunteers.
The aim of the competition was to improve the skills of public speaking in Korean.
All participants of the competition were awarded with valuable gifts provided by the Education Center at the Embassy of Korea in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

11 мая текущего года в Университете мировой экономики и дипломатии состоялся конкурс ораторского искусства на корейском языке. Организаторами мероприятия выступила кафедра восточных языков.
В конкурсе приняли участие студенты 2 и 3 курсов университета, изучающих корейский язык. В состав жюри вошли: заместитель директора офиса KOICA в Республике Узбекистан г-н SO WANSU, директор Центра образования при Посольстве Кореи в Республике Узбекистан г-н PANG CHU MAN, JUNG JAEWONG заместитель директора Центра образования и волонтеры KOICA.
Целью конкурса было совершенствование навыков публичного выступления на корейском языке.
Все участники конкурса были награждены ценными подарками, предоставленными Центром образования при Посольстве Кореи в Республике Узбекистан.

Hakamlar hay&rsquo;ati tarkibi quyidagicha: KOICAning O&lsquo;zbekiston Respublikasidagi vakolatxonasi direktori o&lsquo;rinbosari janob SO WANSU, Koreyaning O&lsquo;zbekiston Respublikasidagi Elchixonasi qoshidagi Ta&rsquo;lim markazi direktori janob PANG CHU MAN, JUNG JAEWONG Ta&rsquo;lim markazi direktori o&lsquo;rinbosari va KOICA ko&lsquo;ngillilari.
Tanlovdan ko&lsquo;zlangan maqsad koreys tilida notiqlik mahoratini oshirishdan iborat.
Tanlovning barcha ishtirokchilari Koreyaning O&lsquo;zbekiston Respublikasidagi Elchixonasi qoshidagi Ta&rsquo;lim markazi tomonidan taqdim etilgan qimmatbaho sovg&lsquo;alar bilan taqdirlandilar.

On May 15, at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, a meeting was held with a group of teachers and undergraduates from one of the oldest American schools of international relations - The Fletcher School at Tufts University in Medford.
First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy Sodyq Safoev told young American researchers about the dynamic development of New Uzbekistan.
The parties were actively involved in the discussion process, the purpose of which was to reveal an understanding of the foreign policy of Uzbekistan, as well as processes at the regional level, analyzing the main actors and drivers.
The participants also had the opportunity to get acquainted with the activities of the think tank - the Institute for Advanced International Studies, learn about the range of current research and potential areas for cooperation.
The importance of maintaining relationships between the UWED and the Fletcher School, creating such forms of interaction as organizing guest lectures and events to build research capacity was noted.

В Университете мировой экономики и дипломатии 15 мая состоялась встреча с группой преподавателей и магистрантов одной из старейших американских школ международных отношений - The Fletcher School при университете Тафтса в Медфорде.
Первый заместитель председателя Сената Олий Мажлиса, ректор Университета мировой экономики и дипломатии Содык Сафоев рассказал молодым американским исследователям о динамичном развитии Нового Узбекистана.
Стороны активно были вовлечены в процесс обсуждений, целью которых являлось раскрыть понимание внешней политики Узбекистана, а также процессов на региональном уровне, анализируя основных акторов и драйверов.
Участники также имели возможность ознакомиться с деятельностью мозгового центра - Института перспективных международных исследований, узнать о спектре текущих исследований и потенциальных областях для сотрудничества.
Была отмечена важность поддержания взаимоотношений между университетами УМЭД и Fletcher School, создавая такие формы взаимодействия как организация гостевых лекций и мероприятий по наращиванию исследовательского потенциала.&nbsp;
