Role in Enhancing the Quality of Scientific Activity and Improving the Research Process

The Scientific Coordinating Council is one of the key institutional mechanisms for coordinating scientific activity, improving the quality of research, and strengthening the system of academic personnel training at the University.
The Council discusses priority areas of research activity, the relevance of dissertation topics, the effectiveness of scientific projects, and the practical significance of research outcomes. It also contributes to improving the organisation of doctoral studies, supporting independent researchers, and promoting a culture of academic integrity and research ethics.
Materials related to dissertation topics, research projects, and master’s theses are initially discussed at the level of relevant academic departments and scientific seminars. Where necessary, they may also be subject to internal and external expert review. Subsequently, such materials are submitted to the Scientific Coordinating Council for consideration.
Research works, proposals, and recommendations that receive a positive evaluation by the Council are approved in accordance with established procedures by the Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation and are thereafter implemented in practice.
