UWED students achieve high results in the international arena

From May 14 to 17, 2026, students of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) successfully participated in the 45th International Sports Fest organized by Boğaziçi University in Istanbul, Türkiye.

More than 70 leading university teams from over 25 countries took part in this prestigious international sports festival. UWED student-athletes delivered outstanding performances in badminton and table tennis competitions.

Badminton:
Jamshid Tuyiyev won 1st place in the men’s doubles event.
Gulnoza Jumanazarova and Jamshid Tuyiyev secured 1st place in the mixed doubles event.

Table Tennis:

Mohitabon Ganieva earned an honorable 2nd place in the mixed doubles event.
Representing both the university and Uzbekistan with dignity on the international sports stage, UWED students continue to demonstrate the talent, determination, and potential of the country’s youth. The university delegation was led by Ernazarova Feruza.
