On May 16 of the current year, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) hosted a Persian language public speaking contest among third-year students studying the Persian language. The event was organized to enhance students’ speaking skills in Persian, develop their public speaking abilities, and further increase their interest in learning Eastern languages.

More than 30 students participated in the contest. The participants delivered speeches and presentations in Persian on various topics, demonstrating their language proficiency, speech culture, and creative approach. The presentations covered themes such as history, culture, literature, modern society, and international relations.

The participants’ performances were evaluated by a qualified panel of judges. During the evaluation process, special attention was paid to speech fluency, pronunciation accuracy, the richness of content, logical presentation of ideas, and overall public speaking skills. Throughout the contest, students demonstrated not only their language proficiency but also their ability to think independently, engage with the audience, and express their ideas clearly and confidently.
