    On March 12 of this year, a master class dedicated to judicial procedure was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy within the framework of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals and aimed at enhancing students’ knowledge in civil and economic procedural law.

    The class was attended by Ogabek Nodirbek ogli Tohirkhonov, partner at the law firm “Capstone and Legal Partners”, as well as Shohrukh Umirzokov, a lecturer at the Department of “Civil Law and International Private Law disciplines” of UWED, and 3rd-year students of the Faculty of “International Law”.

    During the master class, attorney Ogabek Tohirkhonov introduced students to issues of jurisdiction within civil and economic procedural law, as well as practical aspects such as drafting a statement of claim and submitting it electronically. He also shared his views on recent developments in this field.

    Students showed great interest in the topics discussed and asked various questions regarding procedural deadlines in preparing a statement of claim, as well as the specific features of electronic platforms established by the courts. They received detailed answers from the expert.

    This master class is in line with the principles of Sustainable Development Goal 16 – “Promote peaceful and inclusive societies, ensure access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and participatory institutions at all levels, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals”, in particular, paragraph 16.3 – “Promote the rule of law and ensure equal access to justice for all” and paragraph 16.7 – “Enhance the participation of citizens, business entities and civil society organizations in decision-making at all levels of government”.

    This master class contributes to strengthening students’ knowledge in civil and economic procedural law, preparing them for modern legal practice, and supporting their role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
