A “Rector's Hour” event was held at the Academic Lyceum of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy

On September 16, 2026, the “Rector's Hour” event was held at the Academic Lyceum of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, with the participation of first-year students.

The event was attended by S. Safoev, First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

In his speech, the university rector sincerely congratulated the first-year students on their admission to the Academic Lyceum and set important goals for them, such as deeply mastering modern knowledge and skills in their future studies, constantly developing their intellectual potential, cultivating independent, critical, and creative thinking abilities, and actively participating in public life.

Additionally, in accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-4910 dated December 3, 2020, “On measures to improve the system of selecting talented youth and the activities of academic lyceums”, 10 students in the 2025–2026 academic year who achieved "excellent" grades in all subjects, attained high results in subject Olympiads, reviews, contests, and sports competitions, and actively participated in social activities, were awarded the "Pride of the Academic Lyceum" scholarship by the university rector.

During the event, to promote a reading culture among students, foster their interest in books, and develop their spiritual and intellectual potential, all first-year students were presented with books as a “Rector's Gift”.
