Political Anthropology of Japan: A Diplomat Shared His Unique Experience with Students

On October 21, 2025, a lecture on Political Anthropology was given to students of the Faculty of International Relations by visiting specialist from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, PhD in History S. Azizov.
During his presentation, the lecturer provided a detailed information about the anthropological development of the Japanese people, the history of relations between Japan and the countries of Central Asia, particularly the role of the Great Silk Road, and the current state of Japan's relations with neighboring states. Particular attention was paid to the influence of Japanese culture on the country's political leadership and the specifics of the diplomatic service in Japan.
The lecture generated keen interest among the students, who asked many insightful questions. Following the meeting, gratitude was expressed to the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their active support in training highly qualified specialists through UWED's educational programs.
