On September 30 of this year, a solemn meeting dedicated to October 1 - the Day of Teachers and Mentors was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Rector of UWED Sodyq Safoev congratulated the teaching staff and the entire staff of the university on the holiday.  In connection with the holiday, 9 teachers and mentors, who especially distinguished themselves with active and fruitful work, were awarded certificates of honor and cash prizes.

A number of university employees were awarded diplomatic ranks for their significant contribution to the development of international cooperation and strengthening of foreign relations.

Also, 5 employees were awarded the badge “Devoted to the diplomatic service” and valuable gifts for merits in the field of diplomacy, established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the event, UWED graduates prepared and demonstrated to everyone a video about teachers. The solemn meeting was held in high spirits.
