UWED management held a practical meeting on working with youth in “Uygonish” mahalla

On August 13 of this year, the working group of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, headed by the First Vice-Rector for Youth Issues and Spiritual and Educational Affairs O. Yusupjonov, visited the “Uygonish” mahalla, located in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district of Tashkent.

The main purpose of the visit was to promote the social activity of the youth living in the mahalla, especially those considered difficult to educate, those in need of social protection, those living in challenging circumstances, and those on the verge of family separation. The aim is to ensure their employment, guide them towards meaningful leisure activities, and assist them in finding their place in society.

During the visit, a meeting was held with the chairman and responsible representatives of the mahalla citizens’ assembly. The discussions focused on preventing offenses and negative tendencies among young people, facilitating their social adaptation, providing professional guidance, organizing free training courses, and engaging them in sports and cultural events.

Furthermore, agreements were reached to organize regular educational meetings, psychological counseling sessions, and legal literacy seminars with the participation of the university’s faculty and students.

As a result of the visit, it was decided to develop a clear action plan for working with the youth of the “Uygonish” mahalla, to monitor its implementation, and to submit monthly reports on the progress achieved.
