UWED and KOIIA signed Memorandum of Understanding

On August 13, 2025, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Korea Industrial Intelligence Association (KOIIA). The agreement aims to support the digital transformation of Uzbekistan’s higher education system and to enhance the digital competencies of youth and professionals.
Under the signed memorandum, the parties agreed to collaborate on establishing digital education infrastructure and management systems, jointly developing curricula and content in priority areas such as the digital economy and sustainable development, implementing capacity-building programs for faculty and experts, and carrying out initiatives to improve the digital skills of youth and industry professionals through education, employment, and startup support programs.
KOIIA Vice President Kim Tae-hwan emphasized that this cooperation marks an important step in the digital transformation of Uzbekistan’s higher education sector, noting that Korea’s advanced educational technologies and experience will contribute to strengthening the potential of Uzbek youth.
The agreement is expected to further enhance bilateral ties in the fields of education and innovation, as well as create new opportunities in digital and sustainable development.
