    On April 25, 2025, at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, as part of the course “Principles of Management” (Department of Systems Analysis and Mathematical Modeling), an online meeting was held between second-year students of the Faculty of International Economics and Management and the Managing Director of Amazon Web Services (AWS) EMEA Shokhrukh Dzhuraev on the topic “Manager's Practice: Sh. Dzhuraev's Experience at Amazon Web Services”.

    The meeting was held online, during which the principles of Sh. Dzhuraev's work as a manager, as well as the specifics of the decision-making process at AWS, were discussed. The guest shared his experience of working in an international company, talking about the tasks of financial control, project management in the field of data centers and sustainable development. He noted the importance of mathematical disciplines, statistics, international economics and international management, which develop analytical thinking and management skills.

    The lecture was held in the format of an open dialogue and aroused keen interest among the students. The event provided the participants with valuable practical knowledge and motivation for development in the field of international management.

     For information. Shokhrukh Dzhuraev, Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer at Amazon Web Services (AWS) EMEA. He began his career at Amazon in 2011 as a financial analyst, and in 2015 he moved to AWS. In 2022, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer of AWS for Europe, the Middle East and Africa and is currently also the Managing Director of the company in Germany. He is responsible for financial control over the design, planning, construction, commissioning and operation of the AWS data center network in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He holds a bachelor's and master's degree in International Economic Relations from UWED, and a second master's degree in International Business and Finance from the Berlin Institute of Technology and Economics.
