In December 2025, the Department of Oriental Languages of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy organized an interactive event "City of the Future: Climate Challenge".

The event was attended by teachers of Korean and Chinese languages and students of the Winners secondary school in Tashkent.

The event was aimed at improving the culture of waste disposal, preserving green areas in the city and reducing the negative impact on the environment.

During the event, the teachers introduced the audience to the experience of sorting household waste from countries such as Korea, China and Japan. Together with students of grades 3-4, the territory adjacent to the school was cleaned. Students of the school had the opportunity to practically apply the skills of sorting garbage acquired during the presentation.

At the end of the event, a master class was held on creating useful things for school or home from plastic and cardboard, in order to avoid the load on city landfills. Thus, it reduces the negative impact of plastic on the environment.
