Advocacy and Educational Training Held at UWED within the Framework of the “Independence Hour” Project

On May 22 of the current year, in order to ensure the implementation of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-120 dated April 1, 2026, “On the Preparation and Conduct of the Wide Celebration of the 35th Anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan,” an advocacy and educational training dedicated to organizing “Independence Hour” events was held.
The event featured Associate Professor of the Institute for Social and Spiritual Research, Doctor of Philosophy, and poet Sh. Ahrorova as the keynote speaker. In her presentation, she thoroughly discussed the strengthening of the country’s independence, its historical and spiritual significance, as well as the strategic role of independence in the context of ongoing reforms.
As emphasized during the event, independence is the highest value of our people and the solid foundation of the nation’s development. Deep understanding of its essence and significance, especially strengthening patriotism, national pride, and a sense of responsibility among the younger generation, remains one of the most pressing tasks today. In this regard, the importance of applying meaningful, impactful, and educational approaches in organizing “Independence Hour” events was highlighted.
The lecture also focused on preserving national values, instilling traditions and customs in the minds of young people, and educating them to become spiritually mature, active, and initiative-driven individuals. It was stressed that promoting the ideas of independence broadly is essential for strengthening unity, solidarity, and the pursuit of common goals within society.
Participants of the event were provided with practical recommendations on improving the effectiveness of spiritual and educational activities, enriching the content of educational work in academic institutions and public organizations, and conducting systematic and individualized work with youth.
During the training, participants asked questions of interest and exchanged views on current issues in the field. The event was held in a spirit of constructive dialogue, exchange of experience, and practical proposals.
