UWED hosted a master class on Digital Law and the Protection of Personal Data in Judicial Practice

On April 21, 2026, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy organized a master class for third-year students of the Faculty of International Law on the topic of digital law and the protection of personal data in judicial proceedings. The practical session was conducted by Sabriya Soliyeva, legal counsel at “Rubicon Wireless Communication” LLC (Perfectum Mobile).
During the master class, participants discussed current issues related to the protection of personal data in judicial practice. Particular attention was paid to the legal regulation of personal data, ensuring information confidentiality during court proceedings, protecting privacy in the digital environment, and safeguarding citizens’ rights in the context of modern information technologies.
The event was organized on the initiative of Solikha Abdurakhimova, lecturer at the Department of Civil Law and Private International Law. Students received detailed information on practical challenges in the field of digital law, contemporary issues arising in judicial practice, and cases related to the unlawful use of personal data.
In addition, the master class provided practical recommendations on measures to be taken in cases of rights violations in the digital environment, including collecting evidence, contacting online platforms and authorized bodies, and effectively using legal protection mechanisms. The specialist also provided detailed answers to students’ questions on the topic.
This event contributes to the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 16 — “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions,” particularly Target 16.3, which aims to promote the rule of law and ensure equal access to justice for all.
At the conclusion of the event, participants emphasized that such scientific and practical meetings play an important role in strengthening students’ professional knowledge and skills, broadening their understanding of current trends in digital law, and gaining practical experience.
