On 13 May 2026, a masterclass dedicated to Investment Treaty Arbitration and ICC Proceedings was organized for LL.M. students specializing in International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

The masterclass was led by Aakansha Dave, a New York‑based lawyer whose professional experience spans immigration and cross‑border legal matters across the United States, India, and Europe.

Ms. Dave previously served with the Case Management Team of the ICC Arbitration (International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce) in New York. In this role, she analyzed arbitration proceedings across multiple sectors and examined procedural developments under the ICC Rules. This hands‑on experience with one of the world’s leading arbitral institutions offered students valuable insight into the management of disputes – from case administration to the application of institutional rules.

The masterclass was organized by Rushana Sadullaeva, an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Civil Law and International Private Law Disciplines of the University.

This event made a significant contribution to fostering academic dialogue, strengthening the connection between theory and practice, and improving the educational process. It also aligns with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 17 – "Partnerships for the Goals" – in particular Target 17.6, which calls for enhanced international cooperation in science, technology and innovation and improved access to their benefits.
