Sodyq Safoev, First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and Rector of UWED, held a meeting with a delegation led by Bok Kiwang, a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea.

During the discussion, it was noted that the special strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea is steadily developing, and the open and fruitful dialogue established at the leadership level contributes to the further strengthening of cooperation in all areas.

The meeting focused on further intensifying inter-parliamentary cooperation and strengthening the activities of committees and inter-parliamentary friendship groups. In particular, the importance of expanding practical interaction in areas such as legislative activity, parliamentary oversight, interregional cooperation, and the exchange of young parliamentarians was emphasized.

The parties also exchanged views on the prospects for cooperation in various fields, including trade, economics, investment, transport and logistics, education, and healthcare, as well as in cultural, humanitarian, and tourism sectors.
