Leader-Youth Meeting: Issues of Training Specialists in the Field of Economics Discussed

Within the framework of the leader-youth meeting, a session was organized for third-year students of the International Economics and Management (IEM) program by M.M. Khamdamov, Candidate of Economic Sciences and Associate Professor, Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Academy of Public Policy and Governance under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, students were provided with comprehensive information on the knowledge, skills, and competencies required for successful professional activity in the field of economics. Particular emphasis was placed on key areas of modern economic development, factors contributing to competitiveness in the labor market, and the importance of integrating theoretical knowledge with practical experience.
Special attention was also given to the significance of internships, along with recommendations on their effective organization. Students were advised on professional conduct in organizations, teamwork, handling official documentation, and responsibly fulfilling assigned tasks. The importance of developing analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and prompt decision-making skills was highlighted.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the importance of utilizing modern information technologies, learning foreign languages, and adopting international best practices was emphasized. Students received answers to their questions and engaged in an open and constructive dialogue with the expert. The event contributed to strengthening students’ professional competencies and preparing them for future career development.
