UWED Hosts International Conference on “Central Asia in Contemporary International Relations”

On April 15, 2026, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy held an international scientific and practical conference on “Central Asia in Contemporary International Relations”.
The event was organized by the Department of International Relations at UWED, featuring foreign experts, scholars, and young researchers.
The conference was attended by international experts, including Professor Ten Yen Sun of Incheon National University (Republic of Korea), Anton Kotik (Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University), Emil Damirovich Azikayev (East China Normal University, PRC), Zamir Karazhanov (Director of the "Kemel Arna" Public Foundation, Republic of Kazakhstan), and others.
During the conference, participants examined current issues in regional cooperation among Central Asian countries, the transformation of the region's foreign policy strategies, and engagement with global and regional actors.
The conference was structured into thematic sessions that included scholarly presentations followed by discussions. Participants emphasized the importance of strengthening regional dialogue, fostering scientific cooperation, and developing practical recommendations in the field of international relations.
