A Masterclass on Notarial Practice Was Held at the UWED Legal Clinic

On May 20, 2026, a masterclass was organized at the UWED Legal Clinic for students of the Faculty of International Law and members of the Future Notaries Club. The event was initiated by Nigina Muratovna Azizova, lecturer of the Department of International Law and Public Law Disciplines, in cooperation with Candidate of Legal Sciences Ziyodulla Sagdullayevich Ubaydullayev, lecturer Aziza Baxodirovna Xallakova, and Zulfiya Enverovna Usmonova, Senior Consultant of the Tashkent City Territorial Administration of the Notary Chamber of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The masterclass was dedicated to the topics “The Role of the Notariat in the Legal System of the Republic of Uzbekistan” and “International Models of Notarial Systems.” During the event, students received detailed information about the legal foundations of notarial practice, the role of notariat in protecting citizens’ rights, and its significance within the modern legal system.
Special attention was paid to the professional and personal qualities required for future notaries, including legal literacy, responsibility, attentiveness, professional ethics, and effective communication skills. Students also became familiar with the most common notarial documents and procedures, such as certification of contracts, powers of attorney, wills, and inheritance registration procedures.
During the meeting, practical recommendations were provided regarding internships under notaries, qualification examinations, and the requirements for engaging in notarial practice. Particular emphasis was placed on the growing demand for notary specialists with foreign language proficiency and diplomatic communication skills.
At the conclusion of the event, plans were announced to organize future masterclasses with the participation of consuls of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Such meetings will contribute to strengthening cooperation with the professional community, improving students’ practical training, and increasing interest in notarial practice.
