This year, a roundtable discussion was organized in the mahalla on the topic “Mahalla and SDG: The Role of the Mahalla in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals.” The main purpose of the event was to discuss the importance of the mahalla institution in social development, ensuring public welfare, establishing social justice, and its role in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals defined by the United Nations.

The event was attended by professors, researchers, students, mahalla activists, and representatives of the wider public. During the discussion, participants exchanged views on the significance of the mahalla institution in developing civil society in our country, solving local community problems, reducing poverty, supporting women and youth, and promoting environmental awareness.

In addition, Soliev Dilshod and Israilova Zarina presented proposals and recommendations on introducing digital technologies into the mahalla system, increasing the effectiveness of targeted community outreach, improving the quality of social services, and broadly implementing the principles of a “green mahalla”.

At the conclusion of the event, it was emphasized that the mahalla institution, as the closest and most effective structure to the people, plays an important role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, and that effective use of its potential contributes to national development and the protection of human dignity.
