On March 26 of this year, first-year students of the Faculty of International Economics and Management at UWED visited the Alisher Navoi State Academic Bolshoi Theatre. They were accompanied by Amina Atabekova, head of the “Maska” club, and Nargiza Voxidova, head of the “Reading John Grisham” club. As one of Uzbekistan’s premier cultural landmarks, the theatre regularly hosts the finest examples of national and world performing arts.

Before the performance began, students were provided with detailed information regarding the theatre’s history, its significance in the development of national culture, and the unique characteristics of its repertoire. The concert, performed by opera soloists, left a profound impression on the students. The stage design, costumes, and the high professional skill of the performers sparked great interest and admiration.

For most students, this visit marked their first-ever theatre experience, and they spoke highly of the performers’ professional excellence. This cultural event served to refine the students’ aesthetic taste and played a vital role in broadening their horizons and elevating their cultural awareness.
