    On March 17 of the current year, the faculty members of the Department of Civil Law and Private International Law of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, including Sh. Masadikov, B. Hamroqulov, N. Raimova, D. Imamova, G. Lobanova, Q. Nosirov, and Sh. Umirzoqov, held a meeting with the mahalla activists and residents of the “Oltintepa” citizens’ assembly in the Mirzo Ulugbek district of Tashkent city.

    During the meeting, in connection with the declaration of 2026 in Uzbekistan as the “Year of Mahalla Development and Society Enhancement,” a detailed discussion was held on the measures being implemented in this direction, the achieved results, and the tasks planned for the future. The specialists provided detailed information on the role of the mahalla institution in society, its importance in socio-economic development, as well as on the measures being implemented to increase civic engagement, improve the social protection system, and address population issues at the local level.

    During the discussion, the opinions and suggestions of citizens were heard, and detailed answers were given to their questions. In addition, proposals and recommendations were put forward aimed at further strengthening cooperation between the mahalla and educational institutions, increasing the legal awareness of the population, and enhancing social activity in society.

    This meeting serves to implement the tasks defined within the framework of the “Year of Mahalla Development and Society Enhancement” establish open dialogue with citizens, and further develop the mahalla system.
