    A two-day Training Seminar for Heads of Diplomatic Missions of Uzbekistan Abroad was held at UWED

    The University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted a two-day training seminar organized for Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan carrying out diplomatic activities abroad. The seminar was held on January 19-20 and was aimed at improving the professional qualifications of the diplomatic corps, as well as discussing topical issues of modern foreign policy, international relations and parliamentary diplomacy.

    On the first day of the seminar, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Alisher Fayzullayev delivered a lecture on the topic “Modern Diplomatic Negotiations”, who highlighted the key approaches and practical aspects of conducting diplomatic negotiations in the context of the transformation of the international system.

    Then, Professor Nishanbai Sirojiddinov, Doctor of Economics, presented the report “Uzbekistan in modern global and regional integration processes”, paying special attention to economic diplomacy and the country's participation in international integration formats.

    On the second day of the seminar, the program was devoted to analytical and strategic issues of foreign policy. Associate Professor of the Department of Political Science Rustam Makhmudov delivered a lecture on “Methodology of Strategic Analysis of Modern International Relations”, where the tools of strategic thinking and forecasting of international processes were considered.

    Executive Director of the El-yurt Umidi Foundation, Professor Gulnoza Ismayilova presented the prospects of the Foundation's international cooperation, emphasizing its role in the training of highly qualified personnel and the development of human capital.

    A special place in the program was occupied by the speeches of the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy Sodyq Safoev. In his speech, he dwelt in detail on the Address of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Oliy Majlis and the people of Uzbekistan, as well as on the priority areas of the country's foreign policy. A separate report was devoted to the role and features of parliamentary diplomacy in modern international relations.

    This seminar has become an important platform for a professional exchange of views, strengthening the analytical skills of the diplomatic corps and developing common approaches to the implementation of foreign policy priorities of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
