The International Conference SAMEIR-2026 Dedicated to the Anniversary of Professor A. S. Rasulov held at UWED

On January 15, 2026, the international scientific and practical conference SAMEIR-2026 was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Professor Rasulov Abdujabbor Sattarovich — one of the leading representatives of the scientific school of system analysis and mathematical modeling in Uzbekistan.
Professor A. S. Rasulov is the founder of a scientific school focused on the application of Monte Carlo methods and mathematical modeling in economics. For many years, under his leadership, UWED has hosted a permanent scientific seminar devoted to financial market forecasting, risk analysis, and modern applied problems, including research on weather derivatives and climate-related risks.
The professor’s scientific works are widely presented at international conferences and in leading academic journals. His research is recognized in more than 20 countries worldwide, and his publications are indexed in authoritative international scientific databases. A special place in his academic career is occupied by international grants and academic programs from Japan, the United States, and China.
Over the years of his scientific and pedagogical activity, Professor A. S. Rasulov has supervised doctors and candidates of sciences, published hundreds of scientific and educational works, including monographs and textbooks. His lectures, including those delivered in English, contribute to the training of a new generation of specialists in mathematical modeling, data analysis, and systems thinking.
The main objective of the conference was to discuss current scientific and applied issues in system analysis, mathematical and computer modeling of socio-economic and international processes, as well as to promote interdisciplinary approaches and expand international scientific cooperation.
Within the framework of the conference, the following activities were held:
· the official opening and a plenary session;
· presentations by keynote and invited international speakers;
· four sectional sessions dedicated to priority areas of modern science.
Special attention during the plenary session was given to Professor A. S. Rasulov’s scientific and pedagogical activity and his contribution to the development of probability theory, applied mathematics, Monte Carlo methods, and mathematical modeling in economics.
The SAMEIR-2026 Conference became a significant event in the scientific life of the university, combining academic traditions with modern interdisciplinary approaches and highlighting the contribution of Professor A. S. Rasulov to the development of national and global science.
The conference activities were organized around the following thematic areas:
1. System Analysis and Modeling of International Economic Processes
2. Modeling and System Analysis in International Relations and World Politics
3. Mathematical and Computer Modeling of Complex Systems
4. Interdisciplinary Approaches to Sustainable Development, Communication, and Global Security
During the sectional sessions, reports were presented on econometric analysis, agent-based modeling, artificial intelligence and Big Data, financial mathematics, sustainable development, and global security issues.
The conference brought together scholars and researchers from Uzbekistan, the United States, the Republic of Korea, Italy, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, and other countries. The working languages of the conference were Uzbek, Russian, and English, ensuring broad international scientific dialogue.
Following the conference, the following outcomes were highlighted:
· the high scientific level of the presented papers;
· the practical significance of the research discussed;
· active participation of young researchers and doctoral students.
The conference proceedings were published as a collection with assigned ISBN and DOI, and selected papers were recommended for publication in AIP Conference Proceedings (Scopus). The SAMEIR-2026 Conference thus became an important milestone in the university’s academic life, integrating academic traditions with contemporary interdisciplinary approaches and emphasizing Professor A. S. Rasulov’s contribution to the advancement of national and global science.
