On September 26, 2025, a master class was organized at the Academy of Sciences of Afghanistan on the topic "Model of Sustainable Development of Uzbekistan: Scientific Achievements and Prospects". This event was aimed at familiarizing the international scientific community with the practical and scientific results achieved by Uzbekistan in the field of sustainable development in recent years, as well as deepening regional scientific cooperation. The master class was conducted by the senior teacher of the UWED Islomkhon Gafarov. It was attended by the leadership of the Academy of Sciences of Afghanistan, leading scientists, young researchers, as well as representatives of educational and scientific institutions.

During the master class, the reforms implemented in Uzbekistan since 2016 to ensure sustainable development were highlighted in detail, in particular, measures aimed at economic modernization, human capital development, support for science and innovation, transformation of the education system and increasing research capacity. Information was also provided on achievements in the scientific field, modern research areas and international rankings, as well as positive dynamics in the field of scientific publications.

Particular attention was paid to the activities of the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation. The important role of this fund in mobilizing the scientific potential of specialists educated in leading foreign higher educational institutions and research centers for the development of the country, the formation of scientific schools and modern research traditions was emphasized. At the same time, the model of sustainable development of Uzbekistan was characterized as a comprehensive system based on a combination of a scientific approach, institutional reforms and human resources.

Following the master class, an exchange of views took place between the participants, the possibilities of scientific and practical application of the experience of Uzbekistan in the conditions of Afghanistan were discussed, as well as proposals were made for the organization of joint scientific research, academic exchanges and scientific events in the future.
