The preparatory linguistic club for the “Chinese Bridge” speech competition, organized under the Department of Oriental Languages at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, is aimed at developing public speaking skills among students learning Chinese, as well as enhancing their knowledge and competencies in Chinese studies, including its culture, history, and economy. Each year, the club thoroughly prepares participants for the “Chinese Bridge” competition organized by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Uzbekistan.

In particular, on April 2, the semifinal stage of the “Chinese Bridge” speech competition was held at the Chinese Cultural Center. Students from various higher educational institutions, specializing in Chinese philology, took part in the event.

A third-year student of the Faculty of International Economics and Management at UWED, Bakhtiyorov Do‘stmuhammad, won the competition and secured a place in the national final stage.
