    On December 9 of this year, as part of the educational and outreach activities of the Department of International Law and Public Law Disciplines of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, an open lesson was held dedicated to two important dates: Constitution Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Human Rights Day, marking the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The event took place at the private educational institution “Lider bolalar maktabi” for 8th-grade students.

    The open lesson was conducted by the department’s lecturers — Nargiza Kadirova and Nigina Azizova — with the active participation of 4th-year students of the Faculty of International Law.

     During the interactive session, students were introduced to:

    • The key constitutional principles of Uzbekistan’s state structure;

    • The fundamental rights, freedoms, and duties of citizens;

    • The historical and international legal significance of the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights;

    • The connection between Uzbekistan’s Constitution and international human rights standards.

     The students showed strong interest, actively engaged in discussions, and asked questions about the protection of children’s rights, civic responsibility, and the opportunities provided by the Constitution and international legal instruments.

    The University of World Economy and Diplomacy will continue its educational initiatives aimed at enhancing the legal literacy of youth, strengthening civic responsibility, and promoting international human rights standards.
