“SDG MUN” Held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy

On 28 November, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) hosted the “SDG MUN” (Sustainable Development Goals Model United Nations) event dedicated to the Sustainable Development Goals. The agenda focused on SDG 13 — “Climate Action: Challenges and Prospects for Solutions.”
The “SDG MUN,” organized for the first time at UWED, is a simulation based on the Model United Nations format. The event saw active participation from students of Tashkent State University of Law, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, Tashkent State University of Economics, and New Uzbekistan University.
The conference not only contributed to enhancing students’ leadership skills, but also played an important role in fostering teamwork, collaboration, and a friendly academic environment among participants. From the very beginning, the hall was filled with dynamic debates, persuasive speeches, diverse viewpoints, and creative solutions. Each participant demonstrated themselves not just as a student, but as a young diplomat capable of critical thinking, initiative, and decisive action.
At the conclusion of the event, winners were announced in several categories:
“Best Delegate”,
“Best Position Paper”,
“Best Speaker”.
Awardees were recognized and presented with certificates by the organizers.
