A master class was held at the UWED on the topic: “Notarial actions performed by consuls. Application of Foreign Law by a Notary”

At the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, a meeting was organized for 4th-year students of the “International Law” faculty within the course “Notariat” with the Chairman of the Notary Chamber of Uzbekistan, Dilshod Ashurov, and the Senior Consultant of the Tashkent City Territorial Department of the Notary Chamber of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Zulfiya Osmanova.
During the meeting, Dilshod Ashurov provided detailed information on the importance of the notary system in society, the role of international agreements in the notarial system, notarial acts performed by consulates, as well as the procedure for affixing an apostille on documents.
The students listened to the speaker with great interest and, in a question-and-answer format, gained valuable knowledge and practical information. The event proved to be very useful and engaging for the youth.
The second speaker was Zulfiya Osmanova, Senior Consultant of the Tashkent City Territorial Department of the Notary Chamber of the Republic of Uzbekistan and one of the most experienced notaries in the country.
During the master class, numerous practical situations that notaries of the Republic of Uzbekistan encounter while working with citizens were discussed. In addition, Zulfiya Osmanova provided many valuable recommendations to the students — future consuls — on how to properly work with documents, how to determine whether a document is authentic, and how to verify its validity in various situations.
