On December 2 of this year, First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy Sodiq Safoyev held a meeting with Kenji Hirata, the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan, appointed to our country. The meeting was held in the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the agenda activities, inter-parliamentary dialogue, the current state and prospects of cooperation in the fields of economy, science and higher education.

In particular, it was noted that it is necessary to pay attention to new areas of cooperation to expand bilateral economic, investment, scientific and technical ties.
