UWED Students Participate in Forensic Medical Examination Practice

On November 8, 2025, at the initiative of D. Soliyev, Senior Lecturer of the Department of International and Public Law of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED), a practical training session was organized for third-year students of the Faculty of International Law at the Tashkent City Branch of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center of Forensic Medical Expertise.
The main purpose of this practical session was to strengthen students’ theoretical knowledge of forensic medical expertise through direct observation of real professional activities, as well as to deepen their understanding of the role and importance of forensic medical examinations within the legal system.
During the training, students observed various stages of forensic medical work, including autopsy procedures, medical examinations, collection and analysis of evidence, and preparation of expert conclusions. Specialists provided detailed explanations on the medical and legal terminology used in forensic medicine, the role of experts in criminal and civil proceedings, and the reliability of expert conclusions in judicial decision-making.
Particular attention was given to the significance of forensic medical conclusions in ensuring fair justice and the protection of human rights and legitimate interests, illustrated through practical examples. The students also had the opportunity to ask questions and received comprehensive, well-reasoned answers from the experts.
This practical experience served as not only an important stage of professional development for UWED’s International Law students, but also as an opportunity to gain firsthand insight into the field of forensic medicine, understand potential professional challenges, and develop a deeper appreciation for the interconnection between medicine and law in real-world practice.
