Lecture on the topic “International legal problems within international organizations”

On December 23, 2025, a conference on the topic “Contemporary International Law through the eyes of young scholars” was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. The conference was attended by the faculty of the Department of “International Law and Public Law Disciplines”, the Center “Five Important Initiatives”, doctoral students, scientific researchers, master’s students, as well as students who are members of the club “International Lawyer.”
The conference was organized within the framework of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 28.01.2022, No. DP-60 “On the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan for 2022–2026”, the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 11.09.2023, No. DP-158 “On the Strategy ‘Uzbekistan — 2030’”, the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 21.02.2022, No. 83 “On Additional Measures to Accelerate the Implementation of National Goals and Objectives in the Field of Sustainable Development for the Period up to 2030”, as well as the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated July 23, 2022, No. RP-330.
At the conference, the results of scientific research within the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) were presented: Goal 1 — “No Poverty,” Goal 2 — “Zero Hunger,” Goal 3 — “Good Health and Well-being,” Goal 5 — “Gender Equality,” Goal 9 — “Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure,” Goal 10 — “Reduced Inequalities,” Goal 13 — “Climate Action,” Goal 14 — “Life Below Water,” Goal 15 — “Life on Land,” Goal 16 — “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions,” Goal 17 — “Partnerships for the Goals.”
During the conference, current issues of international law were comprehensively discussed, including matters of international peace and security within the framework of the UN, initiatives of international organizations to ensure legal cooperation, human rights in the digital society, legal aspects of climate change, global warming and environmental pollution, mechanisms for implementing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in modern international law, ensuring women’s rights and achieving gender equality within the framework of the “Five Important Initiatives,” international legal regulation of artificial intelligence technologies, as well as the political and legal views and initiatives of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
At the end of the event, the participants of the conference were awarded certificates for their scientific conclusions and developed proposals for the development of modern international law.
