The delegation of Uzbekistan headed by the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy Sodyq Safoev in Utah, USA, is holding meetings with representatives of political, economic and scientific circles.

During the meeting with the President of the Utah Senate, Stuart Adams, issues of expanding bilateral cooperation, actively attracting investment and implementing innovative projects were discussed.

Members of the delegation put forward proposals for the implementation of Utah's experience in Uzbekistan, in particular, on joint projects in the mining industry, the extraction and processing of rare metals, as well as the production of batteries and semiconductors for electric transport.

The issues of using the scientific and methodological experience of the state of Utah in solving environmental problems, the implementation of joint projects for the cultivation of Artemia in the Aral Sea region were also considered.

The delegation of Uzbekistan also discussed issues of joint educational programs and student exchange projects during a meeting with the heads of Utah universities. In particular, agreements were reached to establish direct cooperation between leading universities in Utah and the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

Following the meetings, the parties expressed their readiness to further intensify cooperation between Uzbekistan and Utah in the fields of economy, education and culture.
