    On September 14–15, 2025, representatives of the School of Law of the University of Glasgow - one of the United Kingdom’s leading higher education institutions - Professor Marco Goldoni and Akbar Rasulov paid an official visit to the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED).

    As part of the visit, on September 14, a meeting was held between UWED Rector Sodyq Safoev and Professor Marco Goldoni. During the discussion, the parties exchanged views on the concept, implementation stages, and future strategic directions of the joint master’s program in International Law currently being developed in cooperation.

    On September 15, a working meeting was held at UWED with the participation of First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs A. Umarov, faculty deans, and international cooperation coordinators. The meeting focused on an in-depth discussion of the planned joint master’s program within the framework of cooperation with the University of Glasgow.

    In addition, UWED First Vice-Rector Akram Umarov invited the professors of the University of Glasgow to deliver short-term lectures at UWED. This initiative was warmly welcomed by the guests.

    As part of the visit, a special presentation was also delivered to students on the activities of the Glasgow School of Law, opportunities of the joint program, and the learning process. Students received detailed answers to their questions concerning the study process, admission criteria, financial support, and scholarships.

    At the conclusion of the visit, Professor Marco Goldoni acknowledged the steady development of cooperation between UWED and the University of Glasgow and expressed strong confidence in the prospects of the partnership.
