On September 3, 2025, a solemn ceremony was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) dedicated to the beginning of the new academic year and the admission of first-year students. The event was held under the patriotic slogan “Vatan uchun, millat uchun, xalq uchun”.

The meeting was opened by the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Rector of the UWED Sodyq Safoev. He warmly congratulated the teaching staff, students, especially first-year students, and the entire staff of the university on this significant event.

In his speech, S. Safoev emphasized that in the new Uzbekistan, education and upbringing of young people is given priority at the highest state level. He noted that the growing number of higher education institutions in the country opens up an opportunity for an increasing number of talented young people to realize their dream of obtaining a quality higher education. The rector proudly addressed the newly minted students, calling them the best of the best, who had passed a serious competitive selection.

A bright and touching moment of the ceremony was the performances of the students themselves. Newcomers who entered the university with the highest scores shared their first impressions, excitement and joy of joining the ranks of students of one of the most prestigious universities in the country.

The solemn atmosphere of the holiday, filled with hopes and expectations, ended symbolically - with the performance of a song about love for the Motherland, which became a harmonious finale of the event, which was held under the motto of service to the Fatherland.
