On August 26, 2025, the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy S. Safoev received a delegation of the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung (Germany), representing by the Chairman of the Board H. Bierbaum, Deputy Managing Director F. Degenhardt, Project Manager of the Asia Department C. Franz, Member of the Board of the Left Party M. Pohle, Scientific Assistant to Member of the German Parliament L. Reisner A. Heckendorff, as well as the Head of the RLS Representative Office in Central Asia M. Linke.

During the meeting, issues of further cooperation between the university and the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung, as well as the implementation of joint projects aimed at developing educational and research initiatives in Central Asia, were discussed. Participants noted the importance of interaction in the field of social and political research, as well as the exchange of experience between institutes.

The parties expressed their readiness for active cooperation and joint efforts to implement new projects that contribute to the sustainable development of the region.
