    On July 23 of this year, a solemn ceremony of awarding diplomas to graduates of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy was held at the Palace of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan.

    The event brought together graduates, teachers, representatives of government agencies and the diplomatic corps.

    Opening the solemn event, the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Rector of the UWED Sodyq Safoev, who congratulated the graduates online, noted their contribution to the development of the university and the future of Uzbekistan. He stressed that the university is proud of its graduates and is confident in their success in the professional field. The rector also expressed gratitude to parents for supporting students throughout the entire period of study.

    First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhromjon Aloev, addressing future diplomats, called on them to constantly improve their knowledge, introduce innovative methods of work and worthily represent the country in the international arena.

    After that, a video was shown illustrating the vibrant university life and student achievements.

    The heads of diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan abroad, as well as Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of foreign states who arrived at the solemn event, sent their congratulations to the UWED graduates. Among them: Ambassador of France Aurelia Bouchez, Ambassador of the Czech Republic Lubomir Frabort, representatives of the embassies of India, the UN and other foreign organizations.

    Particular attention was paid to 50 graduates who distinguished themselves with high academic performance and active social activities. The rest of the graduates also received diplomas in a solemn atmosphere from representatives of the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and UWED.

    The event ended with a festive concert, which was attended by students and invited artists.

    For information. In 2025, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) graduated 385 students who successfully completed their undergraduate programs. A significant part of the graduates continued their studies at prestigious universities in Europe, Asia and the United States. Among the popular areas are international relations, economics, political science and law. UWED actively cooperates with more than 60 foreign universities, which allows students to participate in exchange programs and apply for a master’s degree taking into account academic credits.

    Also, many graduates are already employed in government agencies, international organizations, diplomatic missions and the business sector.
