UWED Student Participates in Summer Internship Program in Colorado (USA)

The University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) continues to strengthen its cooperation with leading higher education institutions in the United States of America. As part of this initiative, Asrorxon Sattorov, a third-year student at the Faculty of International Economics and Management, took part in a one-month summer research internship at Colorado State University (CSU).
The internship, held from June 16 to July 13, 2025, provided Sattorov with the opportunity to actively engage in academic research at the CSU College of Business. Under the guidance of academic mentors and professors, he deepened his knowledge in data analysis, entrepreneurship, leadership, and other business disciplines. The program also brought together students from various countries, fostering international knowledge exchange and broadening cultural and academic horizons.
As part of the internship, Asrorxon Sattorov also completed an intensive course at the Center for Information Systems (CIS). The curriculum included lectures and practical sessions on topics such as data preparation and visualization, regression analysis, forecasting, machine learning methods, Monte Carlo simulations, and the fundamentals of artificial intelligence in business.
He also participated in a series of academic seminars conducted by CSU professors, which focused on research methodology, data collection, academic writing, and preparing scholarly publications.
Additionally, Asrorxon had the opportunity to engage directly with representatives of leading American companies such as Charles Schwab, JBS Foods, and Ball Corporation. These meetings provided insights into real-world applications of data analytics in business and enhanced his understanding of the international business environment.
At the conclusion of the program, Sattorov delivered a final presentation of his research concept focused on the impact of hot weather on entrepreneurial behavior. His work received positive feedback from faculty members and fellow participants.
This opportunity is part of UWED’s broader strategy to build sustainable academic partnerships with prestigious U.S. universities. Notably, earlier this year, a UWED delegation participated in the AIEA 2025 Annual Conference (The Association of International Education Administrators), held in Houston from March 1 to 8, 2025. During the conference, discussions were held on expanding collaboration with Colorado State University, including the development of potential summer internship opportunities.
Such initiatives not only help students develop practical skills but also provide invaluable experience in international collaboration and cultural exchange. UWED is committed to further expanding these opportunities for its students, creating the conditions necessary to strengthen their presence on the global academic stage.
