On May 14 of this year, a demonstration of the Japanese tea ceremony was held at the residence of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Uzbekistan, which was attended by 2nd year students of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, studying the Japanese language.

The participants of the event had the opportunity to touch the tradition of the Japanese tea ceremony - a ritual that plays an important role in the culture of the Japanese people. The tea drinking ceremony is aimed at the contact of the human soul with nature, at achieving harmony between the inner and outer worlds. The tea ceremony embodies tranquility, simplicity, naturalness, elegance and grace.

The event was organized by the Department of Oriental Languages with the assistance of the Embassy of Japan in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
