From July 4 to 11, 2025, the Youth Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) was held in Qingdao, People’s Republic of China. Students of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy— Shahnozakhon Rakhimova, Saidali Ashurov, and Muqaddam Chorikulova — took part in the event.

The summit focused on topics such as international youth cooperation, sustainable development, digitalization, and partnership within the SCO framework. Participants presented national initiatives and jointly developed proposals to strengthen cooperation in the spirit of the SCO.

The summit served as an effective platform for direct dialogue with the youth of SCO member states. The participation of UWED students contributed to strengthening ties with youth structures of the SCO and advancing Uzbekistan’s foreign policy priorities on the international stage.

The closing ceremony summarized the outcomes of the summit and reaffirmed the importance of continuing youth exchanges within the SCO.
