The event “Marathon of Ideas” was held at UWED

On February 6 of the current year, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted the “Ideas Marathon” event aimed at organizing a broad public discussion and promotion of the draft Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the State Program for the Implementation of Reforms in Priority Areas in the Year of Mahalla Development and Enhancement of Public Welfare, as well as the Implementation of the “Uzbekistan – 2030” Strategy.
The event was attended by Hakimova Inobatkhon Markovna, Chief Specialist of the Department for Monitoring and Analysis of Reforms in the Field of Ensuring the Rule of Law and Improving Public Administration at the “Development Strategy” Center, who participated as an expert.
During the event, the essence and significance of the draft Decree were explained in detail, along with the priority objectives set within the framework of the “Year of Mahalla Development and Enhancement of Public Welfare.” Particular attention was given to measures aimed at strengthening the mahalla institution, improving the well-being of the population, enhancing the quality of public services, and reinforcing public oversight. In addition, the main goals and directions of the “Uzbekistan – 2030” Strategy, as well as its role and importance in the country’s long-term development, were comprehensively highlighted.
Students were provided with in-depth explanations of the importance of the reforms envisaged in the program for accelerating socio-economic development, increasing the efficiency of the public administration system, and ensuring the rule of law and principles of justice. Special emphasis was placed on encouraging active youth participation in the reform processes.
The event, held in the format of an open exchange of ideas, included discussions of opinions, proposals, and initiatives expressed by students, as well as considerations of opportunities for their systematization and practical implementation in the future. It was emphasized that this process contributes to expanding public participation in governance and ensuring openness and transparency.
The “Ideas Marathon” event was organized as an important platform for dialogue aimed at promoting state programs and strategic documents among the general public, particularly youth and students, enhancing legal awareness and legal culture, and fostering an active civic position toward the large-scale reforms being implemented.
