    On June 26, 2025, a delegation from the University for Foreigners of Perugia (Italy) paid an official visit to the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED). The delegation included Rector Valerio De Cesaris, International Relations Officer and Italian Language Professor Letizia Cinganotto, and Head of the International Relations Department Dr. Valentina Seri.

    The UWED delegation included First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs A. Umarov, Head of the Romano-Germanic Languages Department V. Mamatkasimova, and representatives from the Office of International Academic Cooperation.

    The main topic of discussion was the current status and prospects for academic exchange and cooperation between UWED and the University for Foreigners of Perugia. The Rector of the University for Foreigners of Perugia presented initiatives aimed at strengthening collaboration in Italian language and education.

    The parties discussed academic mobility programs, the involvement of Italian professors at UWED, the development of joint educational programs, professional development for Italian language instructors, organization of remote language courses, as well as launching winter and summer schools for students and faculty.

    At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties confirmed their commitment to developing cooperation and emphasized the vital role of academic partnership in enhancing linguistic and cultural ties between the two countries.
