    From May 5 to 9, 2025, Dilafruz Sodikova, Teacher at the Department of System Analysis and Mathematical Modelling of University of World economy and diplomacy participated in an international environmental seminar held in southern Kyrgyzstan as part of the Train-the-Trainer program.

    The event was organized with the support of the GIZ and HELVETAS (Germany) international organizations.

     The seminar focused on key issues related to the development of a green and sustainable economy, including the rational use of natural resources, the expansion of eco-tourism, and the implementation of sustainable management practices.

    As part of the program, D. Sodikova delivered a presentation on “Promoting Green Tourism and the Importance of Expanding Environmentally Friendly Residential and Commercial Buildings.” The presentation highlighted the advantages of increasing the share of sustainable, energy-efficient, and eco-friendly buildings through the adoption of the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification system.

    It should be noted that D. Sodikova was granted the opportunity to take a special examination organized by GIZ. Upon successful completion, she will be eligible to receive the status of a certified trainer in green and sustainable tourism.

    The topics discussed aligned with the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDG 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation; 7 – Affordable and Clean Energy; 13 – Climate Action; 15 – Life on Land.

    Active participation in such initiatives contributes to strengthening environmental awareness and promoting sustainable solutions for the future development of Uzbekistan.
