A Guest Lecture by a Professor from Saint Petersburg State University Took Place at UWED

On April 29, 2025, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) hosted a guest lecture titled: “Donald Trump’s Trade Wars: Impact on the Global Economy.”
The invited speaker was Maryana Andreevna Gubina, a professor at Saint Petersburg State University, PhD in Economics, an expert in global economics, and a member of the UNCTAD Virtual Institute and the Association of Ibero-American World Researchers.
During her presentation, Maryana Andreevna analyzed the key aspects of U.S. trade policy during Donald Trump’s presidency and its effects on global economic processes, particularly on developing countries and global supply chains.
Following the lecture, there was an active Q&A session where students demonstrated a high level of engagement, asking insightful and analytical questions on the topic.
