SDG 4 – Quality Education: UWED Students Compete in National and International Mathematics Olympiads

Students of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy took an active part in the national mathematics olympiad “Followers of Qori Niyoziy” for undergraduate students. In the first qualifying round, held as an online test on 23 November 2025, 33 UWED students achieved successful results and advanced to the final stage, where they also performed strongly.
The students were prepared by Senior Lecturers Shodmon Turdiyev and Muhammadjon Subhonov of the Department of System Analysis and Mathematical Modelling.
In 2026, a UWED team also competed online in the 12th Northern Countries University Mathematical Competition (NCUMC), organised by ITMO University in Saint Petersburg.
Such competitions help students develop analytical thinking and complex problem-solving skills and prepare them for international olympiads.
