On October 29 of this year, at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Saint Petersburg State University (SPbSU) professors Yuri Akimov and Kristina Minkova held a master class as part of the “Russia in the Modern System of International Relations” course, under the bilateral cooperation between UWED and SPbSU.

The Russian scholars delivered a lecture to 4th-year students of the Faculty of International Relations on the topic “Subnational Actors in Modern World Politics: Challenges and Opportunities”.

In his address, Professor Yuri Akimov shared his views on the role of subnational actors and paradiplomacy in contemporary international relations, as well as in Russia's foreign policy.

During the discussions, students explored the development of paradiplomacy in countering modern challenges and threats, as well as in fostering cooperation with other states.
